FMBM was an event dedicated to building up Montreal in numerous ways. From a business perspective, the goal was to create an inviting space of dialogue between multiple small business owners across the island to build a network and culture of interdependence and connectivity in the city. As the new generation of fashion in the city, we small business owners have the opportunity to get on the same page about the definition of success in the city. Success should always be plural.
From an ethical standpoint, we wanted to emphasize the importance of not forgetting our roots and giving back to those who made us who we are. To give back to the city that raised us, we must pay it back by taking care of the youngest generation. This event was used as a donation spot for everyone attending for the Four the Hood event the following day. Clothes, school supplies, books, food and money donations were given. All are generated from the collaborative efforts of Montreal businesses.
